Microchannel Heat Exchangers![]() Micro-channel heat exchangers transfer heat through multiple flat fluid-filled tubes containing small channels while air travels perpendicular to the fluid flow. Compared to current fin-tube heat exchangers, the air passing over the heat exchanger has a longer dwell time, increasing both the efficiency and the rate of heat transfer. This increase in heat exchanger effectiveness allows the micro-channel heat exchanger to be smaller and yet have the same performance as a regular heat exchanger, or to get improved performance in the same volume as a conventional heat exchanger. The smaller size of the exchanger reduces the refrigerant pressure drop, improving overall compressor performance. Common Refrigerants Used Include:
Picollo Manifolds![]() Used extensively and exclusively for all mechanically expanded automotive condensers, this design offers some unique advantages for eliminating u-bends in round tube heat exchangers
Parallel Flow Manifolds![]() Eliminates the need for two piece stamped designs with high burst strength and braze integrity.
Extruded Manifolds![]() Extruded shapes can be used for manifolds by mechanical incorporation of clad sheets for brazing.
Oval Tube Manifolds![]() One piece extruded manifold with high burst strength for use with oval tube in all aluminum radiator applications.
Jumper tubes![]() Bent tubes for various jumper applications.
